About The Host

Amanda Morck is a proud third-gen Angeleno and was a longtime resident of the Sunset Strip. Raised on LA’s beaches and her parents' rock-heavy stereo, she grew up with The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Doors, The Stones, Steely Dan, and other classic rock greats.

That early love of rock 'n' roll and LA history led her to create My Rock Moment—a podcast where music and entertainment insiders dish on their most unforgettable rock experiences.

When she's not chatting with industry insiders, she's busy inspiring the next generation of classic rock fans. Amanda teaches California rock history at Bradley University, taking students on a musical road trip through the 60s and 70s—from surf rock’s sun-soaked beginnings to the Hotel California era. She also serves on the Board of Governors for Legends of the Sunset Strip, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization whose mission is to promote the arts, music, culture, and history of the world-famous Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, California.

As a bona fide music junkie, Amanda loves discovering new bands and artists - especially those that pay homage to the classic rock era through their music.
